The stuff dreams are made of. Can we have a collective moment of silence for the Balenciaga ring, please?!

Admire Monday...Andre Leon Talley
Happy Admire Monday! Today's honor goes to former editor-at-large of Vogue, Andre Leon Talley. If you love fashion or at the very least, have watched the infamous "Whitney falls" (AMJL named that ourselves) episode of ''The Hills", you are undoubtedly familiar with the great Mr.Talley. What makes Andre admirable is not only his blunt yet accurate opinion, upper echelon resume and BFF status with Anna Wintour, but as the September issue of Vanity Fair highlights, his humble beginnings and rise to one of the most prolific fashion editors in history. Coming from a low income, broken family in the prejudice south, Andre Leon Talley never let his circumstance sway him from what made him unique. As the great Manolo Blahnik himself said "Andre doesn't make fashion. Andre himself is fashion". Anyone who had to start from the bottom with a dream, strive for greatness and earn a cemented place in fashion history deserves some admiration. Here's to a man who exemplifies determination, individuality and all things fabulous. In Mr. Talley's own words, "The world has become too casual, and people have become too lazy. There was a time when people went on the airplane with gloves". Here's to Monday and stepping it up, Andre Leon Talley style.

Summer to Fall transition
Fashion wise, the end of August can carry so many feelings. The fall collections are in stores, boots and heavier blazers are being featured on our favorite online shopping sites, but yet in a sad twist, it is still a bit too warm to start wearing some of our choice fall picks. Instead of getting all bent out of shape and throwing on the maxi dress I feel I've worn to death all summer, here is a look to keep frustrations at bay. A crisp, but loose collared shirt can be left unbuttoned, showing a peak of a sweet lace bra underneath for day and look just as chic buttoned up to the neck once the temps start dropping at night. I'm obsessed with these high waist shorts that can be shown off with a little "half tuck" of the shirt and the ankle boots with a cut out prevents the outfit from feeling too heavy. Add in a small, chic bag and light, classic jewelry and all of the sudden its like... maxi dress who?

Inaugural Admire Monday... Emmanuelle Alt
This marks the first officially official post here at Admire More Judge Less! (Insert a "haaay" and a happy dance). Admire Monday shall hereby serve as the highlight of someone who deserves a little shoutout, a high five, a "ugh isn't she/he just amazing". First up and possibly very telling of AMJL's (that's our nickname) overall style aesthetic is the fabulous editor of Vogue Paris, Emmanuelle Alt. Classic, chic and with a hint of edge, Emmanuelle knows how to make the most simple items stand out. Whether it's a peep toe bootie, baggy leather or a sick blazer, the girl kills it every time. Simple doesn't have to be boring and with individual sass, a little can go a long way. Thank you Emmanuelle for your admirable style, you're makin' my Monday not so "Monday".
